Re: Sprockits and motors

We mounted an extra transmission sprocket on the large CIM motor for the ball shooter, using a 5/16 transtorque and milling the sprocket bore to 3/4.

We are and it's pretty easy, depending on how much force they have to be able to take. Just drop a properly sized sprocket on it and tighten the set screw.

Re: Sprockits and motors

We took the shiv off of the large CIM, then hardened it. We then machined an aluminum disk shaped part and the inner diameter was bored out until the hardened shiv could be cold pressed in. This creates a perfectly mating coupling piece that a sprocket could be mounted to. No problems yet, even after stalling the motor.
