WDW Park Hopper Passes-How to check

I and a number of the students on team537 don't particularly care for Disney and its attractions. So while we got a 4-day park hopper as part of the travel package, we never used them and went to the beach instead. Now we want to be able to check to see if the passes are still good. Why? Well this is my 5 th year and I've had park hoppers before and they've always been good for a year from the date of purchase when not used (and that was stated on the pass). This year these passes don't have that statement imprinted on them and when I call Disney they say that the passes are only good until 14 days after the start of the vacation package... This may just be a line, So...

Does anyone know of a way to check these passes via a scanner or checking the code on the ticket to know if they are still good? Any useful info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. -Joe

Hey Joe--

On mine it says, "Expires 14 days from first use." so I'm not sure how itd work with yours, because I know we all used ours at least once, so they are done......Good Luck

The passes are good 14 days after you first use them, so you could wait five years and then use them and they will still work

Because these park hoppers were purchased as part of a group package, they may fall under different rules. I was under the impression that these tickets *do* expire, whereas regular park hoppers do not.

However, regular park hoppers also do not expire at all, even after 14 days of first use.

Unfortunately, the only real way of telling what sort of admission is remaining on the tickets to go to guest services at one of Walt Disney World's 4 theme parks. Sorry.

They actually changed them so that they do now expire after 14 days after first use.

We Asked Our Kids

If they had any days left on their Park Hopper tickets and gave them to the Make-A-Wish foundation. I still got 3 days left on my Park Hopper from my honeymoon from last summer.:o

Quain 10-05-2002 12:24

a honeymoon in disney... u should have gone to tahiti or the bahamas... probably just as expensive... plus... a little more condusive to the mood and atmosphere for u and ur wife... *grin* that'd be really nice if we could donate our leftover days to charitys and foundations..

Koko Ed 10-05-2002 13:19

My wife agrees with you

Except she wanted Hawiaii.

Koko Ed 10-05-2002 13:31

BTW...

My wife wouldn't have gone for the Bahamas. She was born in Jamacia and raised on St. Croix. The Bahamas are no different than home and there was no way I was gonna spend my honeymoon with her parents!

If I was trying to do that, I wouldn't have done it in such an obvious way ;-)
