Dave has made the trip but we've yet to see Dean or Woodie come out to IRI.

Edit: Best 300th post ever!

Thats not an actual Krispy Kreme store. That may be at a gas station or grocery store. The only Krispy Kreme store left in the city of Indianapolis is on the South Side, two miles from my house!!

You can't compare fresh Krispy Kreme doughnuts from their retail store vs. some at a grocery store or gas station. Dave only eats the best!

Ah, up here, the closest stores are in Troy and Allen Park. That's about 30 miles each from my house.
Anyway, off-topic.

Ok, so I probably am just not seeing this, but you've posted that it will be in the "same location as last year", unfortunately we didn't go last year and don't know what that location is. Does anyone have access to that address? Thanks!

Will there be lunch provided for a fee at the event this year?

There is a dinner provided for attending teams on Friday night, but no free lunch (except for volunteers). Team 1024 runs a concession stand that provides food during the day.

Kind've a technical question...

Where are the balls coming from? The red/blue balls from nationals, or brand new balls of all assortments right from Poof?

Thanks.

We're buying a bunch of new balls from Poof. This "bunch" should be enough for the full event (120 if I recall what Chris said about a week ago).

Also, depending on how many of these new balls get tore up, our backup balls are from the host teams.

From what I've found working at 3 competitions (1 field reset & 2 reffing), having 140 (not including spares) works best. That way, you can have the 6 robots fully load up the 60 balls while they're cuing without stealing balls from the field. This alone can shave off a minute or two from each match's setup time.

Sorry if this has been said or already asked, I searched.

Can you tell us some of the things that will be included in the silent auction?

We will get a thread going on the auction items, but a few if the items are:

2 tickets to the 2006 Nascar race at the Brickyard

A supersized FIRST shirt quilt

A signed game ball from the winning alliance at the Isreal Regional

T shirts from the winning alliance at the Isreal Regional

and a raffle for VEX kits
