Maxi Block Wiring Technique

Now that teams are really getting close to finishing, I wanted to remind everyone who are using the Maxi block of a few things. Make sure when you insert the #6 that all wire strands are inserted before tightening the holddown screw. When you insert the #10 on the output side, strip 1" of insulation from the end of the wire and fold over the strands before inserting into the block. You may have to "form" the bundle with pliers to get it to fit, but it makes a much more reliable connection when you tighten the screw. I would not recommend #12 wire be used in this application although a similar technique may give you a lower resistance connection.
