Last year, our team tried a number of small fundraisers (can drive, spaghetti dinner)... These were successful since we brought in money, but in a very limited amount. This fall, we may try some fundraisers with much larger potential such as raffling off a laptop computer or palm pilots (in addition to raffling off many small prizes donated by local companies). I have heard of teams that have brought in more that $5000 w/ a raffle.

In addition we will be placing equal effort into making public demonstrations and seeking out corporate sponsors.

One of the fundraisers my team did last year was a spaghetti dinner. We went around to multiple local italian restaurants seeking donations. We got all the food donated to us. We sold tickets for $5 and held a drawing for a Direc TV dish that we got donated to us. Anyway, thanks to the donations that made our expenses for this event minimal, we raised over $2,000 in one night. My team has done that for several years now and it continues to be successful.
