Center goal ball return?

Quote:

3.4.2 Ball Returns
A Ball Return is located at the lower edge of each Center Goal, to guide scored balls safely down to
stations for retrieval by the Human Players. The Ball Return is a section of 9 inch diameter corrugated
pipe through which the balls descend from an opening in the bottom of the Center Goal.

ok I google and froogle and searched all over, but I can't seem to find where you can buy this 9" diameter, clear, corrugated tubing anywhere.

could someone please send me a link it, would be very helpful

thank you

Why does it need to be clear? If its so you can count the balls manually then just count them as they exit. I see no reason to get clear...

He doesn't want it for a field construction. He wants it for his own robot construction - right?

Matter o' fact, I do. :D You are looking for a company called Hi-Tech Hose, whose web adress is www.hitechduravent.com. Their catalog can be found here, and most likely page 6 of said catalog has the stuff your looking for. You can find their price list here. Hope it helps.

I can't help but speculate that team 1276 might have looked into this as well, you seemed awfully fast with that... ;)

We were looking for some of this stuff a while ago too for a ball-feeding mechanism, but we ended up going with something else, because that stuff looks like it could be bumped by other robots and get squished pretty easily, preventing any further balls from going through, and effectively incapacitating your shooter. Just something to think about...

We got some, but it is quite heavy. I'd estimate 7 lbs for 10 feet. I'm not sure if we will use it or not.

You should also make it wider or somthing, if you get more then 10 balls in there in 10 seconds, it jams, we jammed it every round of finals at the Detroit Regional (us and 703 tearing it up in auto)

We have about 100 feet of this stuff in 8" but we have to wait til our regional to install it.

If anyone is looking to purchase some Blow-R-Vac hose, 8" diameter, kind of like what is used for the center goal ball return, we have 30 feet of the stuff we aren't using.

Re: Center goal ball return?

Is there anyone who has some of this stuff, is going to Atlanta, and would like to lend some to team 1281? We desperately need to rebuild our hopper so it dosent jam so much and we could use all the help we can get. Please let me know if you guys can bring some of this, and better yet if 1281 can have some.
