Mascot needed!
 

Hey everyone,

We were rookies last year and threw a mascot idea together last minute for Nationals. This year we're looking for ideas for something new. We are the Pascack Pi-oneers, spelt with the Pi sign, and we're from New Jersey.

Any suggestions would be appreciated and credit will be given where due. Can't wait to hear your ideas! :)

You know how the stereotypical horse costume requires two people?

Look at the Greek version of pi (which the fonts of CD aren't letting me duplicate) and tell me you don't get where I'm going. ;)

Some Davie Crockett guy decked out complete with coon skin hat is the first thing that comes to mind. Honestly, I'd have your entire team wearing the coon skin hats.

(by the way, I did a t-shirt trade with someone on your team. I wear my pi-oneer shirt with pride.)

this is tough - your team name does not lend itself towards an obvious mascot.

I have a great idea for a team cheer:

you could have PI-Guy - someone wearing a shirt or cape with the value of PI to the 10,000th place written on it?

BTW, you must use the most irrational person on your team as the mascot.

EDIT: Better yet, write the number like an eye chart with a huge 3. then smaller and smaller fonts towards the end

I'd volunteer to be your mascot since some people tell me I'm like 3.14... feet tall. However, a HUGE pi walking around competition would rock. Those kind of mascots are always noticeable.

by any chance was anyone on your team born on March 14th?

EDIT: I just looked it up - Pi Guy would be born on march 14th, which would make him a Pisces

your mascot could be a fish - a tuneable fish (who says you cant tune a fish?)

Thanks! Those were all great suggestions.

We're still looking for a variety to choose from. I'm hoping to track down a picture of the makeshift mascot we threw together last year for nationals to show you.

Anybody else have an idea?
