Banner Optical Sensors?
 

Some body :eek: PLEASE helps us we're trying to find the a wiring diagram or something to see how we can wire the little yellow banner optical sensors to our robot so if anyone has anything on it please get back to us at earthsuad5@aol.com or auron06@gmail.com.

On the banner sensors, there should be four wires: blue, brown, white, and black.

Brown wire is positive source, <EDIT> between 10V and 30V </EDIT>

Blue wire is ground

Black and white wires are the signal wires

When using the black wire as your signal pin, your default value is normally closed (0 when unblocked). If using the white wire as your signal, it is normally open (1 when unblocked).

Isn't there a wiring diagram on the side of the sensor itself?

Yes, there is, but not on each sensor, and also, it isn't very clear.

I'm pretty sure they are 10-18v, not 5. We have them hooked up to a 20A fuse, and they are working fine off 12v. You *really* need to go find the spec sheet though.

Sorry about that, instead of writing power source, I accidently wrote +5, the sensors themselves are actually rated for 10V-30V, though we have them running fine off a 9V battery.
