Robot reset in competition

During a competition match, will hitting "robot reset" on a team OI, actually reset the robot, or does the competition controller override all user OI functions?

Thanks,

Thanks,

I don't *know* that there isn't some deep magic in the competition software that would prevent you from resetting your robot controller... but I *believe* you should be able to. (Though I'm not sure I can imagine why you would want to.)

If you really want to know for sure, you should ask IFI.

It worked two years ago, and I don't see why it would have changed.

It's worked each year for us - useful if you're using incremental encoders for positioning but they aren't "homed" right at the start of a match.

You can, but keep in mind your camera will lose its target and revert back to the default position, and if you use the gyro, it will become uncalibrated.
