Question about animation audio

I have my animation completed and it's almost ready for submission. I wasjust wondering, I have a song in my animation and there is a part in it that goes silent (under -18 db) for about a second. Will this be a problem? because I know you're not suppose to go under -18 db.

Re: Question about animation audio

I imagine that the under -18 dB order simply means that you will not hear anything under -18dB - silent should still be fine. They won't penalize you for having silent bits, or if they do, then that would be ridiculous.

Re: Question about animation audio

I imagine most all animations will have silent bits. I assume the under -18 db means that they have some sort of noise cancelling device that cuts off audio below that level to prevent noise.
