Whats up everyone? This in MC Elroy in tha hiz houze!! ;) :cool: ;)

Anyway I'm here to ask what is your music that speaks to you or goes to the beat of your heart or whatever diehard music lovers say...

To start I will share that I like: rap, hip-hop, dance/electronica, club remixes [yes, in many places it is a (sub)genre], reggaeton, eurodance [another (sub)genre], jazz, R&B, and basically anything with a (very) fast beat. :D :yikes:

Everything is good with me. Well, everything but country, oldies, nd the old classical that is. But I guess that my all time favorite would be, probably, alternative rock, with a good beat. Favorite band is Linkin Park.

anything, but not everything.

there are good songs in every genre that are good. I like vivaldi and beethoven, but some classical music is soooooo boring.
some country is good, but most is kinda whiney, same with emo/screamo.
almost all rock is excellent. Metal in moderate doses. techno/electronica is good for an hour or so, then it starts pounding in your skull and drivs you crazy.

so really i like everyhting, but i can't listen to it for too long.

Like a lot of people, I listen to just about anything. It all just depends on my mood. But, no matter what my mood, if I hear the macarena or cha cha slide, I will dance.

metal, hardcore, metalcore...I think you get the idea: most anything that's heavy and/or hard is good in my book, but I still like some calmer stuff. My top 5 right now is Avenged Sevenfold, Remembering Never, As I Lay Dying, Trivium, and Unearth

i generally listen to a lot of bands. mostly metal, classic, and punk. NIRVANA is #1 on my list. in my whoami picture you can see the NIRVANA on my hoodie.

anyway, Nirvana, The Offspring, Green Day, AC/DC, Motley Crue (saw them last May. they rocked.).

Green Day puts me in a crazy mood but ask anyone it doesnt take mutch to get me dancing. i love to dance any kind if i dont know how ill learn. and give me a mic. and ill sing if your wondering no im not shy.
music all types of music i love music rascal flatts make me cry (sara beth) weezer makes me yell, led zepplin reminds me of my dad :) , nirvana just makes me mosh, Green day they are just the best they know how to put on a show

Goa/Psy/Trance (Like Infected Mushroom)
Pretty much anything that can be turned into Electronica/dance/techno I love to dance/listen to. :)

I can tolerate most music in moderate doses, with the exception of gospel and new rap (old school rap is fine, but 50 cent, Young Jeezy, etc...nuh uh). I really like a lot of EBM/futurepop (VNV Nation...mmmm), Jpop, Jrock, metal in small doses, some emo/screamo is okay but does get a bit whiny after a while, I sometimes listen to classical, and some old 80s hair bands that my dad got me into. But as far as dancing...hah! Not unless Dance Dance Revolution counts. :D

I love how everyone says "everything!" and then when i start asking them what thier favorite bands are they are in a specific genre. For me, It is quite diverse. I enjoy, singer/songwriter (matt nathanson), modern rock (matchbox 20), some classic rock(Billy Joel), alternative christian(Jeremy Camp), indie (Death Cab for Cutie), jam bands (O.A.R., Pearl Jam), and some progressive type metal (dredg).

I enjoy almost everything except that rap garbage, worst music ever!

My favourites are dance music and rock.

Actually, Eurobeat is not a subgenre, I can't stand how most people lablel any type of electronic music as 'techno y0!' Eurobeat is its own genre. The other genre's of electronic music (not sub-genre's) are:Happy Hardcore, Hardcore(theres a difference), trance, club, house, electropop, Italo-Disco, Eurodance(different than Eurobeat), ParaPara, etc, etc.

I listen to old rock, mostly QUEEN, Eagles, Chicago, Beatles, JIMI HENDRIX, some jimi buffet. i also listen to reggea, mostly Bob Marley butalso some newer singers. i Listen tosouth american music(im latino), mostly vallenatos(anything composed by Jorge Celedon) and stuff from colombia. i listen to some rap but mostly the farthest thing from gangta rap, like Kanye and Common Sense. I listen to R&B to sooth my nerves. I like old soul music, like Marvin Gaye, barry white, ray charles.

I love dancing and will dance to almost everything! As long as it has a good beat, I'm gone ;)
Tops on my list of listening tastes are Journey and Jason Mraz.
But I can't just single out any genre of music that I abosolutely detest. Some have really good songs as well as ones I would rather rip my ears off than listen to. So I can't rip on any genre, because there is some rap I like and some screaming music (although, there is probably only 1 or two songs I can stand, lol, thats got to do a number on your vocal chords...). So I've got a pretty rounded view on music and I'm open to lots of stuff.

Salsa music is awesome, too...I could just go on and on....

Everything but rap. I just have a little bit of country, I don't like that slow crap and most country artists only have one good song on an album.

Now my favorite is hard rock and punk rock. I have some emo, but I don't listen to it religiously. I like new artists. The old stuff just gets older. I bow to System of a Down and Metallica, but also bands like Hawthorne Heights, AFI, Panic! At The Disco, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, June, Atreyu, and the rest I can't remember but it's all good music and my opinion is the only one that matter. ;)

I am totally into new rock, alternative, and Indy stuff. I looked through my library and I happen to listen to A LOT of Canadian new rock (I do live in Canada) but seriously if you like new rock you guys are really missing out if you haven't heard about some of these bands: (harder stuff) Billy Talent, Sum 41, Alexisonfire, Rise Against (think they are from Chicago, but are big in Canada), The Salads, (more alternative stuff) Our Lady Peace!, City and Colour!, Arcade Fire, Marianas Trench, Metric!, Sam Roberts, The Trews, Sloan, Mobile. Then there is also awesome (non Canadian Acts); Artic Monkeys, Chili Peppers!, Foo Fighters!, Lost Prophets, Keane, Snow Patrol, Gnarls Barkley, AFI, The Strokes, and Death Cab for Cutie. I could go on but I wont :p

Heavy metal, anything written by John Williams, and 8bit electronica/techno. The best band in America is either Symphony X or Dream Theater. The best band in Sweden is Hammerfall.
