problems programming knob and switch

I am trying to use a knob to control the speed of one pwm motor and a switch to control a spike. If anyone knows how to do this or can help me please do. Thank You.

p.s. if you need me to tell you anything else or give you anymore info I can. Thanks again.

You need to read the information about the joystick ports, hook up your own potentiometer, and a switch to any one of the digital and analog ports, then program your robot to respond to them on the right joystick port.

For information on wiring, check http://ifirobotics.com/docs/oi-ref-guide-11-21-05.pdf the pages you want are 5 - 10. Good luck.

we have already wired the joysticks and i have four different switches and 2 knobs wired. THe main problem was how to call these different things. Btw all these auxillary switches i mentioned aboce are in port 4. As far as i could figure it had something to do with the use of p4_aux.(not sure if thats actually what its called since i dont have the code in front of me) Thanks Again.

First, I am no programer by far but I will ask for som info I know others might need. Fisrt, we need to know what pins the knobs and switches are connected to. From this info, someone (not me, I do not know enough at the moment) can tell you how to call the values from the switches and knobs.
