For everything you do for the FIRST community, you are more than deserving of this award. It is because of the hardworking people behind the scenes that enable everything in FIRST to run smoothly. Congrats and keep up the good work!

So much has already been said, and I agree with it all. Most of us know that what goes on "behind the curtain" is the main reason why the acts in front of the curtain go so well.

Thanks for doing each task you do for FIRST. You have made a difference to each student and adult who has been touched by your contribution. One person can make such a huge difference. You are an example of that.

Congratulations Kathie! I can't think of a more deserving person to be recognized for UFH than Ms. Kathie "I Don't Know How to Say 'No', So Sure - I'll Do It!" Kentfield.

Besides being co-founder of a great resource organization for all mentors (even helping us impossible engineering-types), your dedication to all things FIRST is legendary.

And you look positively stunning in a chicken suit!

Kathie works HARD! Her tireless efforts in the forefront of NEMO have made it much easier for teams trying to get a handle on the logistic, support, and organization issues we all face, but hope someone else will take care of. It’s invaluable to have the support of sympathetic ears on the NEMO sub-forum and being able to compare notes and experiences on-line or at the many local and Championship NEMO meetings Kathie has run or encouraged.

If we sing about an Unsung FIRST Hero does that negate the honor?

I don't know if I could pull off having so many balls in the air without help from Kathie on a daily basis. She is always coming up with new ideas, always willing to listen to me complain, and is relentless when it comes to something she believes in.

Kathie, you & Jenny prove that success in an inter-team organization is not a fluke, and with NEMO have filled a huge void in FIRST, of which I am proud to be a member.

Kathie, I don't put up with your bajillion emails every day - I enjoy them..and I send a bajillion back, so I guess we're even :) Congrats!

Miss Kathie, ever since I met you last season I have never found anyone else like you. You are so spunky and so fun and alive...I'll never forget you if I ever move on from FIRST. You're truly amazing and just...wow. You deserve this so much, Congratulations.
