My Team Needs a Sponsor HELP
 

Hey my team is in serous trouble, we have no sponsor, we made it thru this year without one, but i doubt our ability too it again, it riped us all apart. I was wondering if any teams out there had any ideas on how they could help us, or give us seggestions. We dont want too lose what we have because we dont have a sponsor.

Start with the parents
 

Start with your parents, then the parents of your friends at school. Someone has a prarent who either can spend company money or knows the people who can. Identify people to talk to and give them some write ups on what you've done and what FIRST has meant to the people on the team. The FIRST organization also has materials you can use to help.

Next go the the papers and see if you can get into the papers. Perhaps some company will see the chance to get a good name in the community.

wow....if we didn;t have a sponsor the team wouldn't exist, how did you manage to pay for anything this year? and your an old team aren';t you...who was your origonal sponsor?

ok we lost our sponsor dummy, all the monney for this year we rased for ourselves, and we are really proud of that, it was hard!

I dont think u teams with unlimited fundage can say anything along those lines.

You don't really need a huge sponser to be a heavily competitive team. Our team [ 247 ] ripped up the regionals in Buckeye, Great lakes and the canadian regional- taking a top 8 spot at each...but we weren't able to go to nationals simply cuase of lack of funds... too many teams take funding for granted. and we need a sponser too!
