I've always wondered what would happen if my two favorite team names teams (if that makes sense) were to combine to form the "cheezychickens" ...or thunderpoofs would be pretty sweet too.

The Apes of Wrath was the coolest name in '02 and IMO its still the greatest name today.

We may change our name to the "Mad Hatters" next year. But with an easy number like 100 I doubt we'll ever find a name that catches :rolleyes:

I like the ones with acronyms. B.O.B. (Built on Brains) and WO-Bot (West Ottawa Bot) are my favorites. I think it's so adorable. :D

I like the the name "Thunderchickens," since its both imposing and silly at the same time (but more imposing, especially this year :ahh: ).

Also, Cheesy Poofs.

I also think alternate team names, or team nicknames, are cool since it kind of gives a sense of closeness in FIRST. Take team 71 for example, their official team name is Team Hammond, but everybody knows which team I am referring to when I say Beatty.

I like acronyms too... :cool:

But yeah, thunder chickens, exploding bacon, bovine intervention, robot casserole, and robot mafia would be some of my favorites.

A lot of people have praised our team name "Robotomy", a play on lobotomy. :cool:

Wow no one has mentioned the Duct Tape Bandits?!?! Not only is the name awesome, they have the gear to match :) My favorite team name in a long time!

When I was in high school, I think my favorite was the Baxter Bomb Squad! Glad they kept their name!

I find myself liking the really "powerful" sounding names even more now.

I would like to think MORT is a powerful sounding name for a team. For some reason people think its supposed to represent death. :o It's definitely not, haha.

~Forsyth (uber fun to say)
~The Uber Bots (because i love the word uber)

Tons of teams have awesome names but those are the four i can think of at the moment

I have always liked Robot Casserole, along with the fighting calculators. Nothing can beat exploding bacon, however.

yay!

I'm a fan off the pink team... mainly because if I remember right none of the guys on the team when it was first starting came to the name picking meeting, so the womenfolk chose pink. lols were had by all.
