Sponsors logos Question
Some of our mentors were throwing around ideas about where to put Sponsors logos.
This year we had a lot of weight problems and hence had a lot of holes. We decided that we would just put all of the sponsors logos on a thin piece of lexan and velcro it on. Would this have to be on the robot when we weighed in even though its just for sponsors logos? |

Re: Sponsors logos Question
we generally have metal plates made that contain the J&J name, and the rest of our high level sponsors have their names on the website. you need to work something out that will fit your needs, but Velcro doesn't seem like a good idea, i would see if i could get their names printed on vinyl stickers, and stuck to parts

Re: Sponsors logos Question
What's wrong with Velcro? We have over 80 feet of it on our robot this year! :D
In all honesty though, I think the your idea about attaching logos with lexan and velcro is a good idea. Just keep in mind, like mentioned above, that it is considered a part of your robot and must be on when at weigh in. |
Re: Sponsors logos Question
We get stickers made and put them on our lexan shielding. the upper stuff that doesn't get contacted very often we use velcro for, but we rivet the lower stuff on that takes hits.

Re: Sponsors logos Question
Our team has a lexan cube for a hopper, so all we did was put our sponsor logos on one of the sides. Since our robot is currently 2 pounds overweight, we cannot afford to add another sheet of lexan just for sponsors.

Re: Sponsors logos Question
We laminated sheets that had our sponsors logos on it, then we tie wraped them to the robot.
And, yes, they do count towards the weight limit :( |
Re: Sponsors logos Question
What we do is we have laminated sheets with the sponsors, team logo, team number, schools, and all that good stuff all separate and then we Velcro them to the sides of the robot. This way, if they get ruined just slap on a new one. Plus they can get in the way when fixing the bot so they can be easily removed for that as well.

Re: Sponsors logos Question
What we usually do, is just put sponsor logos any where there is free space on the robot. Sponsors that give us more money get a better location than sponsors that give us less money. Last year we put the logos on the two side panels of the robot.
