Ours gets picked up at 2:00pm tommorow. What about yours?

Sometime tommorow. Our robot is already sitting at Honeywell waiting to get picked up; as far as we're concerned, it's shipped.

Lightning Robotics' Icarus is set to be picked up between 4:30 pm and 6:30 pm.

We would really like to ship at midnight for driver/human practice but they won't pick up our bad boy past 5 p.m. Even with bribing! (j/k we're too broke to offer anything!) :rolleyes:

11 a.m. to 5 p.m.... though past experience shows that it will probably be between 1 and 2 p.m.

I don't think it matters for my team... We finished packing it into the crate at 10 PM last night. I still have to go to school today, though. Pit orchestra practice for the musical! :O

Ours went at about 12.20pm as I drove past the FedEx lorry as I left Campus at the start of my driving lesson this afternoon. So it left us 7 1/2 hours ago

Hmm. In about, oh, 2 hours or so. FedEx people are supposed to be here between 5:30 and 6.

our team is in a diffrent situation we have no real time just before midnight. we are using the schools box truck to transportit to the fed ex shipping center.

Fedex would only pickup between noon-4pm for us; I guess it's because we're rural.

We scheduled them for between 3 and 5, so of course they showed up about noon while we were "demoing" the shooter at students in the classroom. We didn't even have the crate assembled yet. The driver was nice enough to come back later, and our actual pickup was at 3:05.

Well, we got it off at about 7:15 pm, after FedEx Freight came at 6:00. When I called the FedEx Express 800 number to schedule pickup, they transferred me to Freight because the crate weighs over 150 lbs. Shipping bills aren't compatable. Driver Paul was exceedingly helpful - I don't know how many times he told his dispatcher on the phone that we had to ship today or we'd be out of the competition. We finally ended up paying for Freight to take the robot out. I've got a lot of calling to do tomorrow to staighten everything out ... Sigh. But it's shipped, and heading for Ypsi!

At about 3:15 the FedEx guy showed up down in our room the "dungeon" and was like is this the crate? Pointing to the partial crate on the floor. We were in the process of assembling it and were told to expect the truck between 4 and 6. He was only an hour early.... We had to wait for my dad to return with the rest of the lumber to nail the crate together then we tore down the robot so that we don't have to have a 250# crate, total weight by our scale was 258 (111.4ish was our bot) Sure we have to assemble it at Boilermaker but that'll take about 10 minutes. Worked well last year and will again this year. The bot this year though wont have 5 drive trains on Thursday, its ready for practice rounds as soon as we assemble. Crate was in the truck, hand lifted, at approximately 4:15pm.

Fedex forgot our team too. We were scheduled for between 1 and 4. I called at 4:10 and they said 5. At 6 I went home.

FedEx was at my high school at 4:30pm but it didn't leave until 6pm due to us not being able to fit the robot into our crate. The FedEx guy was nice enough to stay, watch, and help us put the robot in.
