The shooter shoots around a ball per second. The load system is actually pretty simple...balls go up the front rollers, then down our roller coaster and gets a nice little shot into the katapult. (Pics of the "nice little shot" to come)

wow cool katapult....i was hopin you'd go for the quantity over quality three ball shooter, but o well

am i going crazy or is there a servo in the throwing arm?

We eventually settled on calling the action of pulling back the arm "winding", to avoid s$@#$@#$@#$@#$@#$@#s (and filters). Winding the arm into place automatically loads a waiting ball into position to be flung. The major limit on launch rate is the brief time it takes for the newly loaded ball to stop bobbling so it goes straight when flung.

I don't know, and I'd rather not find out. I plan to insist on adding some sort of protection to the camera as one of the team's first to-do items at the Boilermaker regional.
