Last year when I pitscouted, there were some teams that did seem out of place. it seems they let them in somehow, but they get put wherever there's room. That's the way it appeared at least. |

Re: 2006 Championship Divisions
Automation..
1. Open up FIRST's list of championship attendees. 2. Ctrl+a (select all) 3. Ctrl+c (copy) 4. open up http://www.joelster.com/divs.php 5. Ctrl+v (paste) into the text box. I just whipped it up (and made it look pretty), so I could mess around with a few options. If you ctrl+end while the cursor is in the text box, you can delete some (or all) of the pending teams manually, to see how their presence (or non-presence) affects the divisions. Its just for fun.. FIRST could end up not bothering with the 1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4 , which is what the script assumes is the order of Division drafts. |

Re: 2006 Championship Divisions
Yeah the numbers are confusing me as well, without actually checking through all the regionals it looks like teams that were in finals or won regionals, or multiple regionals...
not sure tho. |

Re: 2006 Championship Divisions
yea, bolded is worth mentioning.. green is good.. red is spectacular.. IMO.
I designed the thing for myself, but then decided to post it. I'm going to add in another box preloaded with my default picks, that you can change, to adjust the "power" of the divisions. eh.. |

Re: 2006 Championship Divisions
It could be extremely random to where they start out with the highest numbers and divide them by say, 7 5 and 2 and then as soon as they get 13 in each division, they switch it up to different numbers divisible or even the sum of the teams number divisible by 4 and 3 and then all the left overs are put into one division. That would be really extreme. I actually did just try to do that but, my computer shut down on me when I was half way through. lol.
Things would definately be mixed up if they did it like that. lol. |
Re: 2006 Championship Divisions
Just for anyone that cares, Joel's page has been updated to highlight the Chairmans award winners now.

Re: 2006 Championship Divisions
Newton is pretty loaded with 111, 1114, 254, 70, and 494 just to name a few. A pretty tough alliance would come out of that pool.
