This is how i see them in order of Toughness

1. Newton
2. (Tie) Curie
2. Archimedes
4. Galileo

But who knows about that, it's the beginning of week 2 and it's Atlanta, anything can happen.

That fourth division looks pretty stacked...granted they all do, but the fourth one (whichever it's named) is going to be intense.

How do you come up with the divisons and how each team is rank for it.

The last few years FIRST has just counted them off

Archimedies Galileo Curie Newton

1 2 3 4
5 6 7 8 etc.

So thats how were coming up with these divisions ;)

Ummm, why? What makes that better than the current method? No need to overcomplicate a simple problem -- and this method guarantees an even mix of older and younger teams in each division.

well so would the new way really *not over complicate things*... it would also allow teams 121 to face teams like 122 and 125 in nationals... and teams like 25 to face 27 and 33...

honestly its you make a program that says give # 1 2 3 4 --> XXX teams that are competeting in nationals an a b c or d in random order and once this many # of a's hits xx then stop giving out that letter... not hard... not random... and it would work for endless seasons to come since its randomly generated just like thier match lists... =D... easy...

so yes it would be meaningful and no it wouldnt over complicate things...

i think i answered everything =D

Like FIRST is really concerned about things like that.
All they care about is getting the divisions out not appeasing the whims of some teams to work with other teams ( if it's really that big a deal dig deep in your pockets and go get in whatever regional they're in). FIRST has no reason to change the system so they won't. It's not even worth argueing about.
