simpsons and segway!

did anyone else see that awesome episode of the simpsons!!! dr hibert looted a segway!

Ian W. 22-05-2002 20:35

LOL!!! and a very violent baby... :p

seriously though, if only FIRST had as much tv time as segway....

hmm, maybe if Springfield Elementary started a first robotics team...(ok, so it's an elementary school, but nothing else makes sense in the simpsons :D).

oh well, i'm off to get my own segway, if you catch my drift ;)

Rob Ribaudo 22-05-2002 20:49

I saw it too! My brother thought I was going crazy! I think I am! Look at all the explanation points I am using because of this! I am very glad that other people saw this too, or I would be asking people at school and they would think that I am even more crazy then I already am!

Rob Colatutto 22-05-2002 20:51

it was so awesome!! it was all like, segway!! and it stood on its own and it was just awesome because segways are always awesome!

Melancholy 22-05-2002 20:53

if springfield started a robotics team, then they would need to show a competition. then, judging by the other robots on the field, we could determine which regional they were attenting, thus knowing about where springfield really is. hahaha! ::evil laughter::

Ian W. 22-05-2002 22:33

actually, they gave lots of info out on that show. anyone catch the area code for SpringShield? it was an area code + 3 digits + 3 digits + the number 2. i think the area code was something with a 6**. but figure that out and, well, yuo might know where springfield is. another thing, i could've sworn i saw a roadsign that said I-95. i'm not sure, but i think i saw it. anyone else see either thing?

Rob Colatutto 22-05-2002 22:45

i am still going with that they are in mass.

Brandon Martus 23-05-2002 00:05

they gave it away on the 'Behind the music' type thing they had [the vh1 spoof]

Rob Colatutto 23-05-2002 00:06

that and....the fact that they left on a boat from mr. burns' and were on the ocean...that kinda rules out a lot of the states

They're not. Remember, in one episode Homer shouted something about getting back to Massachusetts.

They said the Simpsons were from Tennessee, right? But that can't be, because Springfield has a seaport, and Tennessee is...landlocked!!

My vote is for somewhere on the west coast...maybe Oregon...no one ever thinks about Oregon...

Rob Ribaudo 23-05-2002 06:07

I think they are from Illinos. I am preaty sure that they even said that in one episode, but I can't remember which episode. And about Springfield not beibg able to have a seaport and being in any state, this is the Simpsons, it does not have to follow any form of logic at all. Springfield has very tall mountains, canyons, seaports, and a nuclear power plant for this "small town" that is not even on the maps.

purplehaze357 23-05-2002 07:11

yes he did..he definitely pilfered a segway and it was funny..haha :D

Bduggan04 23-05-2002 07:11

In the episode that was made to look like a Behind the Music episode, they actually named several states. The announcer said something different after every commercial.

jon 23-05-2002 12:29

The Simpsons don't live in any state really, the writers give you assumptions, but they're all for different states. It's just to screw with your head, and it seems that they have accomplished their goal pretty well.

When they showed a segway on the simpsons i freaked out. My girlfriend was over and she was like 'so what'. Everybody should know what a segway is and freak out about it.
