What do you keep in your car?
 

Just wierd stuff. Like this:



That computer stays in my car at all times. Why? I don't know. It's like a good friend. Keeps me company.

I also have in my car -
1. Guitar amp/equalizer
2. Clothing
3. A huge bag of styrofoam cups
4. Autodesk Inventor installation

Random stuff.

The car is a 2003 Honda Civic Hybrid. Yay for good mileage.

Traction!! It increases traction! ;). In my trunk I normally keep a set of jumper cables, a few trash bags, an extra pair of shoes, and a pair of gloves. I'll try to get a picture later.

In the front:
1.) Lots of change (Parking meter emergency fund)
2.) Tire pressure gauge
3.) Indiana Map & other relevant car documents
4.) Cobra Radar detector
5.) A pair of winter gloves
6.) 2 pens
7.) A couple custom music CDs
8.) Winter deicer spray & ice scraper (soon to be removed!)

I have the normal roadside emergency kit plus: my lacrosse stick and a ball, a whiffle ball and bat, a PC power cord, my safety glasses, a TJ^2 headband, and a RS-232 gender changer.
Everything to keep you entertained in any situation.

Last I saw the car when I dropped it off at the Coliseum tonight, there were (among other things)...

1) Griffin RoadTrip for my iPod. Does wonders.
2) Jumper cables
3) Repair paperwork going back as long as I've owned it
4) A table (Did you know that first-gen CR-Vs had them standard? Look under the back floor, where you'd expect a spare tire.)
5) More empty cups/bottles/cans than I should have anywhere, let alone in my car. :rolleyes:

Is that an old IBM XT? I remember when they came out! :ahh:


I always have a basic tool kit in the cars. Each of them also has a small Craftsman ratchet set in them, a 12v compressor and tire repair kits. This has come in handy on several occasions. I got a stuck thermostat on my Mustang and overheated. Once it cooled down I removed the upper radiator hose, goose neck, removed the thermostat, and put the goose neck and hose back on. I went into a supermarket and bought several gallons of spring water to refill the radiator. It worked to get me home.
I've also removed several nails/screws from my tires, plugged the tires and refilled them with air from the compressor.

So far I've never gotten outright stuck somewhere and needed AAA. :D

I'll have to really post pics of the stuff. I can't remember everything off the top of my head plus each vehicle has other stuff in it. Maybe I'll take some pics tomorrow. :)

1. Licence Plate renewal bill... overdue tomorrow
2. Paper plate from my salami sandwich lunch
3. 2-3 squares of bubble wrap
4. 2 booster seats in the back seat

6. cable ties
7. Coupon for Great Clips... probably expired (heh... haircuts are a waste of money)

9. A few random CDs (Sinatra Greatest Hits, Weezer, Click Five, Neal Young Decade, Gorillaz Demon Days)

12. A list of good kereoke songs to do (XM Radio is a great resource)
13. Mattel Football - in the glovebox... yes the LED-lighted, white plastic one from the late 70's.

I hava a 99 S10 regular cab so i can't fit much!
-Blanket
-Mag Light 4 cell
-Gloves
-Hat
-Ice Scraper, comes in handy every day!
-Winshield washer fluid, use it frquently since we use sand and salt up here
-Tie down strapes when i tow stuff
-lotsa lotsa lotsa bungee cords
-pool cue (got to bring that into the dorm soon)
-CD's
-some garbage
-map of NY
-metal object i will eventually get to making a shifter out of
-3 Bags of sand plus 2 cinder blocks so ~225 lbs in the back

My tanning lotions so i dont keep coming back in the house to get them, and the general car cleanng stuff. and my bank account savings book thing. Yeah thats basically it.

A 6" long, 1/2" diameter chrome steel pin where I can reach it in case I ever have to break a window (mine, to get out, or someone else's to get in)
Fire extinquisher (Im on my 4th one - put out 3 car fires so far, none of the cars were mine)
