2006 code on 2005 RC?

Hello all.

This year's my first year as a FIRST programmer. I have a simple question: would code compiled for this year's FIRST RC (2006: PIC18F8722) run on the 2005 RC (PIC18F8520) ?

The hex file will not work. However, with a few trivial changes, you can compile your code for the 8520. See the file Using_Last_Years_FRC.txt in the default code.
