Using WPILib on a Vex robot

I'd like to try using WPILib on a Vex robot. I know that this combination is not supported. Can you give me any hints or are there technical issues that make it impossible?

It's going to kind of tough to get it working without recompiling.

I plan on getting it ported just as soon as I get back from the Atlanta regional in a few weeks. The plan is to make it so teams can prototype on VEX then move the code mostly unchanchanged to an FRC robot. I also need it for a summer high school robotics class we teach at WPI.

I'll post it as soon as it's done.

I'm eager to see this combination working too. Please let me know if there's any way I can help or test. Thanks!
