mustard on hamburgers?!
 

I got this idea while looking through the thread about accents and slang. Do all of you REALLY automatically get mustard on your hamburger when you order from McDonalds and Burger King and such? Like, right along with the ketchup?! Ew! Everyone says that Long Island is the only place where they don't put mustard on hamburgers. I don't even think fast food places around here even have any mustard! Mustard + hamburger = strange.

we have everything on our burgers. People around here will say do you want that with a salad on top? Meaning do you want lettuce, tomato, and onion on your burger. I don't personally like mustard either!

lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup, etc. belong on hamburgers, but in no way, shape or form, should mustard ever touch a hamburger! mustard is for deli sandwiches and hotdogs (although i hate hot dogs).

Heh... funny you should ask that. Yesterday I was eating a burger and I put cheese and ketchup and said to my mom... where's the mustard and onions...

Yes... mustard just makes it taste so much better! But whether you should have mustard or not is not the question to ask... it's... "What is the perfect ratio of ketchup to mustard on a burger?"

well, i'm the 5th person to reply from long island. they 4 before me all said no, and i say no. so, in conclusion, long island is the only normal place.
