Just Curious!

If that's true then we have been breaking the rules for years because we always do a raffle for an Atari 2600 and have never been confronted by anyone about it.
We sell the tickets outside the arena so I think its OK.

Our teams giving out coloring books (Wo-Bot Aims High!) and crayons. Quite amusing. I really did like a lot of the frisbees given out at the Buckeye this year... what can I say? I'm a sucker for frisbees!

It is specifically prohibited in "7.12 SITE RESTRICTIONS" of the rules this year - I don't know if that has been the case in the past. It applies to the site - not just the arena.

Our team was considering a raffle, and cancelled it because of this rule. Other teams should also comply.

Outside the Arena Is legal as long as their are no city ordinances (in the city of the regional) to prohibit so.

Again, please see section 7.12 SITE RESTRICTIONS. That's the same section that says you cannot bring in your own food. You can't play loud music or use loud noisemakers. Don't save seats.

Do some of those things happen? Certainly. But that doesn't make it right.

If you are traveling to Philly, Chesapeake, or Atlanta our team will have the ultimate FIRST give away. Team in a Box!!

"Team in a Box" is a DVD/CD set designed with the Rookie in mind but also has many other uses. If we run out of copies at competition, you can also order from our site at www.team341.com . we even pay the shipping! Hey when its free you can't lose!!
================================================== =======

If we are not going to be at those regionals nor Atlanta, can we order one now?

Where on the website can we order it?

@ UCF, aside from our "hot chicks giving tattoos", we did give out CD's containing video of Friday's matches. EVERY team registered and EVERY team got at least one CD. The tattoos.. well, I'm not so sure.

Guys will always be guys.

At the FLR there was at least one team with a high end digital camera taking photos thrusday and friday, and they had a laptop burning the photos onto a CD, which they handed out saturday.

Being able to pull photos down from a website is okay, but to get a lot of high resolution (5Mpixel or more) jpegs a CD is still the best way to go.

Photography and videos is something that many teams take for granted at a regional, until you are the person holding the camera. If you take photos all day long you really dont get to watch the matches, because you cant see everthing that is going on - its like you are there but you watched the event through a camera viewfinder.

Also the lighting at regionals makes it difficult to get good photos unless you have a fairly expensive camera and lens - so if you have one, and a laptop that can burn CDs, all you need is a stack of blank CDs and you got something every team will want.

How about Team 85's shop rags. Those things come in extremely handy.
