And when he does the whole FRC community believes it to be a game hint.

Andy Baker is inspecting my team's robot at Palmetto...it is quite possible my robot might spontaneously implode on site.

I'd pay cash money for someone to make a Andy Baker version of this...

Then scores, and the score counts.

Andy Baker threw a paper airplane at championships that flew over all 4 division fields, landed on the truss of Einstein field, took off again, and then came back to him. He then proceeded to catch it, with his eyes closed, and with both hands tied behind his back.

That wasn't Andy Baker, then. Might have been JVN.

Andy Baker properly reffed Aerial Assault, while building a robot for 2016, releasing game hints for 2015, designing the 2017 game, and collecting parts and ideas for 2018's water game, all with one hand tied behind his back, his eyes closed, and while doing a headstand. I understand the IRI planning felt a bit left out; that's what the rest of the committee is for.

Andy Baker's robot was once over the weight limit. The weight limit was then raised simply by his thoughts and desire to play.

That explains 2007!

Andy Baker counted to negative infinty. Twice. On his fingers. (Billfred was unable to score that UCDCC result - sorry, Kara.)

And it counts for 45 points.

If Andy Baker uses a yellow tote in a normal stack, the points double.

Andy Baker can use a gray tote for Coopertition bonuses.

Andy Baker's robot can grab 4 containers off of the step in .045 seconds. By the end of automode, it's got a Tote Stack in the Auto Zone as well as a Container Set. Sadly, the use of the Force on its partners is ruled as NOT counting for a Robot Set. In teleop, the robot takes all the totes on its half of the field and the step and stacks them 6 high, then drops all containers on top, then stuffs litter in all 6. In 39.40 seconds.

In case Andy Baker's Logomotion bot miraculously malfunctioned, his mini-bot was programmed to autonomously score three logos and deploy itself on the pole, with enough battery remaining for a 2.3 second climb.

Re: Andy Baker

Andy Baker build a robot for FIRST Stronghold. It was disqualified for playing Monty Python scenes on speakers. That's when it opted to play "The Knights Who Say 'Ni!'"--and was promptly allowed to compete.

Andy Baker's OTHER robot went under the Low Bar, over the Cheval-de-Freise, through the Moat, under the Portcullis, over the Rock Wall, Ramparts, and Rough Terrain, in and out the Sally Port, and over the Drawbridge, twice each, each time with a Boulder scored in the high goal. It then Scaled the Tower. That's when the Teleoperated period started.

Richard Wallace 05-02-2016 21:51

Re: Andy Baker

We have a plan to add scaling capability to our robot, using only:

* three zip ties
* one servo, and
* one special high frequency whistle.

The whistle is a new AM product that we are beta-testing. It summons Andy Baker. When he hears our call, Andy dons his cloak of invisibility, teleports to our opponent's courtyard, lifts our robot with his pinky, and levitates.

Then our robot uses the servo to attach a hook, made from three zip ties, to the climbing bar. Done. :cool:

I don't see whistles on the list of approved pneumatic devices. Or does a member of the drive team blow it?

A whistle isn't a pneumatic device. Neither is the legal fan that is used to generate the air to blow it!
