There's a Regional in Israel?
 

I was unable to attend a kick-off, and I'm listening to it now... I didn't know that there is a regional in Israel... that's nifty.

Anyone going?

What do you think it will be like?

I will be there, and we are doing everything we can to make it run just like a US regional. All of the teams competing are Israeli teams started in the last 2 years and from the looks of things it will be a very competitive event.

If you use the search and look for "Israel" there are a bunch of threads about it.

I am a member of team 1657 "HaMosad Robotics" we are last year's Israeli Regional winners. Last year there were about 12 teams and this year there are 26. I was a volunteer there last year, I taked to some American staff and they said it's pretty much the same except the size. This year I believe will be much more interesting because there will be some veteran teams unlike last year.

Yes, it is going to be exactly like the US regionals...even Dean, Blair and maybe Dave lavery will be there. We are also trying to organize a webcast for the regional but with no success yet.

Anyway, everyone is welcome to attend the regional...you will be surprised with the level of the robots and the event.
