Userbars Everyone
 

I was interesting in this and wanted to know everyone feedback! The cool user bars that you see in everyone signature is the newest trend to hit the INTERNET. I personally like the ones that KathieK has created. So what are some funny ones you have seen, cool ones you want, or just want to share.

Also, give us some links for FREE user bars to look at!

BTW, I can get the other two userbars hosted on 228's website if you have problems with exceeding bandwidth again; we are allocated 300 Gb/month of bandwidth. ;)

Each are only 19 pixels high, so you could stack 10 of them and be good.

200 pixels is the height limit. As I see your signature now, you only have a stack of 2, cause the third is next to the first.

Yeah, but I try stacking 5 of the userbars, and would it only limit me to 4 images in the sing.

You have 5 images already. Maverick, Volunteer, Nemo, U2 (w00t!), Poverty.

Maybe 5 is the max number of images CD allows.

Plus, your sig is prolly over the height limit anyways with the huge text. I just changed mine when I put in the U2 bar cause it looked too big.

Yes, they are easy to do - if you have a graphics program available to you. PM me and I will send directions OR if no one has the time, I can create a Vex one tonight...

Use the "[img][/img]" tag - just put the image source inside the img tags!

Or just use the button that lookos like a hill with a sun and put the image source into that box that pops up.

This is my first post with userbars, so im on the bandwagon too! :)
I like them- they personalize you in a sleek and elegant way :cool:

GIGA GASP, I give it a few minutes until someone figures it out.

Not something I recommend the limit is there for a reason, but just wanted to prove it can be done. I probably will change it back later, probably.

I was wondering if anyone here on CD is interesting in making FIRST-related userbars ( i.e team role, team name, team number, etc)?

I'll make a few. The team role ones would be the most likely because anyone from any team can use them, team name and team number ones should be made by that team. They don't have to but by making one for a team, another team wants one, thus a giant wave of wanted user bars begins. Yet you are too overwhelmed because that week you have a junk load of tests and a project due the next week and you cant make anyones user bars, then some get mad starting a flame fest and... oh er yeah.

i personally use http://photobucket.com/ . only difference is that you have to login, but you can create your own albums of pics.

Well up until now I had NO signature whatsover (booorrrrinnng, i know). But I just made one for my 433 status and added Kathie's volunteering one to my sig. For some reason I haven't seen it on my posts yet though....let's see if it shows up now.

I turned "see signatures" back on for this thread. Wow. Sig files have gotten even bigger. Back to the "user cp" to turn "show signatures" back off again...

The challenge is creating a sig file that expresses yourself while at the same time meeting the CD requirement that says sig files must be 200 pixels in height or less. (Please keep that in mind - some of these are getting really big and the mods will be knocking on your doors to make them smaller soon!) :)

I was recently asked to shrink it down, which I did. It is still slightly over the limit but not by much.

I have found a few other people that I know are over the limit just by looking at them.

This stuff is really neat...I'm adding basic ones for now, but will probably make something a bit neater later. If any other refs or AM enthusiests want those, feel free to take them.

I had to combine two of mine into one larger image file in order to fit them in.

I just used that to make one and it came out with a quality that has room for improvement. I prefere to use Photoshop.

http://www.userbars.net has a lot of these. They're in a phpbb forum, so you can either search by keyword or you can just scan through the boards. I found a few there.

Well, I've made a Chop Shop userbar and a VLC Media Player userbar (one that wasn't as good as the one in my sig now), but that's it. I use The GIMP and Photoshop. I can't install Paint.NET because it requires SP2. :(
I guess I'll make some team role userbars if I get the chance.
