Multiple Regional wins in 06
 

On my walk to school today I got to thinking about how many teams won multiple regionals last year. I just took a look around the FIRST website and realized that only one team, Team 254 - The Cheesy Poofs, has won more than one regional this year. I know that there are still 15 regionals to go, but...

I want to know what your thoughts are? Why were there so many more teams winning multiple regionals last year compared to this year? Is it the fact that we have never had the challenge of shooting balls before? Are there more teams that have been able to raise their game to a level of that of the "Top dogs"? What do you think?

i attribute it to the new alliance selection process....the 8 alliances are a lot more even than usual

So far there are only 61 teams that have played in 2 regionals. There are still 207 teams that are going to be playing in their secord (or third) regional in the next 2 weeks.

what was the two regional attended to regional win/finalist percentage last year?

what is it as of now?

I've been looking for that info also, so the data would me very much appreciated. I remember a thread about multiple regional wins last year, but I have searched and can't seem to find it.

As for this year... I will post that as soon as I eat. :rolleyes:

After 3 weeks last year, there were only 2 multiple regional winners (126 and 245).
