612 Stop-Motion Animation

A few members of Chantilly Robotics Team 612 have been quasi-working on a stop-motion animation project. A first draft of the movie can be seen at Google Video-Chantilly Robotics Team 612.

It's pretty bad right now but this is only our first cut. You can see my hand in one of the frames!! We cut about 300 pieces of Bosch extrusion to make the pixels, arranged them into an interlocking grid, and removed pieces to create a "612". I think we are going to have it playing continuously on a laptop in our pit at the Championship.

So now we have a box full of slices of Bosch. Any suggestions about what we should do with them next?

That's neat, I like the concept. I'm waiting for the final version ;)

I've envisioning an Eiffel Tower of the things - without any sort of glue. Not sure how it would work, but it would be an interesting challenge...
