It's a bit unstable, speeds spike and drop constantly, are there any settings we should use specifically or anything we can do to speed this up and/or stabilize it?

Re: Hofstra 2006 Robotics Videos

Well it is a BT Swarm and as more people join and the ratio between seeds and peers/leechers evens out it will quicken up, stay connected for a couple days alright, thanks

Also I am uploading images to flickr
Send me pics that you may have

I PM'd you with my screen name, it would appear that we all receive a transfer rate spike when someone new joins the crowd, then it drops, perhaps a configuration problem somewhere?

Re: Hofstra 2006 Robotics Videos

Ok I am using both my connection 36KB/sec and my neighbors 77KB/sec as seeds
Should speed things up a bit

Re: Hofstra 2006 Robotics Videos

I'm not seeding yet, but as for any data I have, my 2-3Mbps connection is helping. :)

Great job getting this footage up by the way, I need as much as possible to show my school! (I've been trying for three years now to get this in my school >>)

For all those wondering about the crowd: http://media.putfile.com/DSCN044898 Take a look at what it's like to fight through the stands. :P

Yup thanks for the help guys!

Right click on a torrent in utorrent and check it

you should join my DC++ HUB

YOU NEED NERO 7/ NERO DIGITAL MP4 CODEC TO PLAY THE VIDEOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Hofstra 2006 Robotics Videos

Um, no you don't. Nero's splitters and decoders are known to be buggy, slow, and have a stupidly high direct show priority.

Simply get Haali Media Splitter (http://haali.cs.msu.ru/mkv/MatroskaSplitter.exe)... None of the bloatware of Nero, it's free, and it also splits Matroska (MKV) filetypes. As for the codec used, it's most likely an MPEG4 Part 2 (ASP) derived codec; DivX, XviD, etc, use this type, and you can easily (and quickly) decode these with FFDShow (http://www.free-codecs.com/download_...p?d=1488&s=50).

Enjoy, people.

Re: Hofstra 2006 Robotics Videos

I know, but the vidoes are encoded in Nero Digital through Nero Vision

RX782 27-03-2006 22:53

Re: Hofstra 2006 Robotics Videos

That doesn't mean they need Nero to decode. :)

Re: Hofstra 2006 Robotics Videos

I have a question about the labeling of the matches

Most files are labeled like Day 1\Robotics Match Day 1 (#)

Is the number in parentheses meant to be the match number? If so is it possible that those numbers could have been thrown off a little bit? I only say this because i am positive my team participated in match 4 but we're not in the video labeled Day 1\Robotics Match Day 1(4)

Re: Hofstra 2006 Robotics Videos

Yes, but the tags of the matches are a bit out of order, but the order of files, is the order we recorded them.
