Site Downtime / Moving
 

Hey,

Some of you may have noticed that the site has been tremendously slow this morning

The server we were put on has been loaded to its full capacity, and a few sites (ours included) take up a big chunk of bandwidth and processor power.

They asked if they could move our site to a newer, bigger, faster server, and I agreed.

So--
chiefdelphi.com will be down Thursday, June 06, 2002 - 9AM

I'm not sure how long it will be down.
No data will be lost, and to make sure that we don't lose any messages close to 9AM, the forums will be temporarily shut off around 8AM, and will be turned on when the site is back up and functioning.

Thank you for your patience, it will all be worth it in the end.

Seems to be running quite a bit faster from where I'm at...

539 users on the old server
50 on this one.

plus a big hardware upgrade, i think.

yeah, it is a lot faster. i thought it was partially cause i just started using Opera, but put that along with a nice new server on your end, and CD is blazing fast :D.

yea.. the sits smokin now.. good job.. :D
