VEX on Woot?
 

(Disclaimer: I have no financial interest whatsoever in woot.com. I'm providing this information solely because I think it might interest some people who missed out on the VEX sale at Radioshack. I'm putting this in Rumor Mill because I don't even know if it'll happen. So, read this at your own risk.)

For those of you who don't know, woot.com is a site that sells one item per day, usually technology-oriented, at a steep discount. A new item is posted every night at 1am EST/10 pm PST. When they sell out, you have to wait for another item the next night. Tonight's item is some video game thing, but their podcast says that it was supposed to be a VEX Starter Kit. Woot has never had the VEX kit for sale before, but I would suspect that since they apparently intended to sell it tonight, it will probably be available in the next few days. I don't know how much they would be selling it for, but if you're still in the market for a discounted VEX kit, keep an eye on Woot tomorrow night. If it's cheap enough, I might just pick up another set. ;)

Dang, thanks for the heads up. I'll definitely be checking woot on my cellphone tomorrow night from the bus to Palmetto.

woot.com is awesome. I got half a terabyte of storage from them for a hundred dollars.

They probably didn't sell it because today was 2forTuesday, and I don't think many people would by a VEX 2 pack (except for us, of course).

Vex starter kit is today! $179.99! (I think it was cheaper on radioshack.com during the sale...but the sale is over and you didn't get one then go for it!)

update: woot seems to be having some technical difficulties this morning...

If you think about it, after shipping, its still cheeper to get it ast radio shack while they are on sale.

I see that they are selling them for $179! Much lower than $300 but i think Radio Shack has them for $150 still.....

By all accounts, the Radioshack sale is over, so Woot would now be the cheapest place to get a Vex set.

Check your local stores first, I think they still are on sale there, even though the online sale is over. I'll check our store today and see.

I stopped by the local RS today, sale is on and runs thru June 3rd. Power kit is on sale now...and the guy said they ordered some more sensor kits and stuff to have in stock. They have restocked some stuff they sold a couple weeks ago, they have 5 kits now, 3 programming kits, etc.
