Anyone else recall this one from the early 80's? The original lyric is quintessentially geeky. The instrumental line might make a good FIRST anthem if the lyric could be reworked.

I have to say I'm a little SHOCKED by these. Was this the best FIRST could come up with?
Why didn't they ask students/mentors to maybe work together to come up with lyrics for a possible theme song!
SCARY! I voted for the first one, because, it's less....pre-school?

Wow... who came up with these? They are REALLY cheesey. Do we really need a song?

What happened to all FIRST music being unnamed techno? That's what it should be, or written by Styx.

I felt obligated to vote so I voted for Number 2 cause I actually sat through that one.

Do we have to choose an anthem? I would rather have a whole CD full of FIRST songs, if that's where we're going.

If we can get Will Smith to do a 30-second bit, then I'm sure we could find a bunch of bands to do something instead of choosing one, you know?

I know they are trying really hard, and I appreciate the effort...but after hearing it a billion times in Boston...I was pretty much ready to jump off of the Bunker Hill Bridge.

I vote for Mr. Roboto...or any 90's Dance song.

Personally if I were to pick a FIRST anthem it would be Rush's "The Mission"

I would have been more accepting if they played it a few times and that was it. When it was played over and over and over again to the point where the words were being burned into my mind, they got old really fast. I need to be warmed up to new things like this, not force fed.

Why do they feel the need to make up new meanings for the letters in FIRST? Why not put lyrics that actually describe things that we do in FIRST?

Ha! I can't really see him doing a sports anthem type of song! But I think pretty much anything he'd create would be preferable to the two songs they played on repeat at the Boston regional.

Yes! Maybe they could get Geddy to sing it in Atlanta. Or even better, Neil Peart could write a new FIRST song and they could reveal it live during opening ceremonies.
