Someone wrote a parody article about our robotics team.

In what was later called a "button malfunction" by her publicist, the Los Altos Eagle Strike Robot, Aimbot, refused to come out of her holding cell.

"The bell rang, and the whole team was super excited; this was the first time that the A-dizzle[Aimbot] was going to do the quarter turn and swivel to the left side, youknow? But then nothing happened. I don't think I've ever cried so hard," said club member sophomore Li Pi.

According to robotics team adviser Leo Florendo, the problem originated when the team tried to install a personality reflector chip, a chip which has thus far only existed in certain episodes of "Gundam." The entire team decided to imprint part of its collective personality on the fledgling robot.

But after the "successful" operation, the robot was seen acting strangely standoffish. And while Aimbot had impeccable attendence and appeared to have a particulary strong affinity for math, she appeared uncomfortable performing in front of crouds and unable to effectively communitcate with other robots. On the day of the competition, Aimbot refused to compete. People involved in the process mostly attribute the lack of participation to nerves. However, there are other conspiracy theories.

"I'm not going to point fingers or say 'senioritis' or anything. But [senior] Steven Schlansker spent a lot of time creating that personaility reflector chip and now that it's second semester, he hardly even comes to the meetings anymore," said club member junior Erica Tucker.

Aimbot was last seen eating data chips in the science wing and appeared melancholy about her college prospects.
