I was just packing up for the end of the year and a bunch of my students cam to ask me where are the participation medalliosn that FIRST send out?


has anyone else gotten there or will they be sending them out over the summer??

We just had our end-of-the-year team party, and we got them then. I don't know when our leaders actually got them from FIRST

They should have been shipped to the person listed as the shipping contact in the team database. I would imagine all the teams have them by now. Perhaps someone is selling yours on Ebay to raise money for next year? :)

We haven't gotten ours as far as I know, we called FIRST in early May to see when they'd be sending them out, and they said soon, so hopefully they will show up...

Huh? Participation medals? Like the bronze colored ones that we received in 2000? Did teams get them last year? Are teams supposed to get them this year? Will teams get them eventhough they got a medal at a competition? Someone please share details, our team seems to be clueless to this. Thank you!

we got ours in the very end of may. i think everyone gets them, but dont quote me on that ;)

So, if you got a medal at a Regional, you wont receive participation medals for 2002?

Alright, finally something we can show off. At 550 we haven't won anything yet, so these will be the first FIRST items to go in the 550 case, newly appropriated from the art department's sculpture case. Our robot from this year - Box O' Doom, Captain Hook, Torque Monster, and Knight Rider were amongst its many acquired names, though none was official - actually fits in there. I'll have to check if we got those yet. Anybody know if Fed-Ex shipped?

Medallians???


Are these the medallians FIRST gives to the runners up @ Regionals and Nationals. If so ! Do the runners up in each division like 3rd and 4th. place get medallians. A lil latre to be askin i know. Just thought i'd ask .Since "Medallians" was brought up. My team didn't get any medallians.

The medals are for participation. My team got them my first year, however, we did not get any last year, and we have yet to receive them this year.

I couldn't be there when my Team won the NJ regional. Is there any way that I could get a medal? Am I still a valid member of the team to receive one?

The answer is yes
 

Team 87 went down to the VCU regional and got beaten in the finals. We got the Regional finalist award which intails a "silver" medal. Some of our members werent there but we still got extra medals to give to our team members. Our mentor is a teacher at my high school and he use some of the left over medals as HALL PASSES!! Will the uses for FIRST memorabilia never end?!?
