[Videos] Of great robots and great plays

Hi,

I wanted to make a thread in which people can post links to videos of Great robot or Great plays. I would personally love to see videos of all the great robots that have been talked about on CD.

So please if you have any such videos, post the links.

PS:- I know some regional webcasts are archived;however, It doesn't have every match and robot.

Well here is the video Aces High Team 176 made. http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...38462976387143
Our robot can shoot three pointer. We are great at scoring 1 pointers. We can climb the ramp every time. We also made three point shoots durring autonomous mode.

Here is the Team 85 Robot...

Team 85 BOB (Google Video)

I also have all of the footage from our last regional posted on Google Video. I am waiting for it to be verified at the moment, but it will be available shortly.

Edit: The videos are now available on Google Video.

West Michigan Regional Finals

Now you can all see what everyone is talking about, jk. :yikes:

http://www.soap.circuitrunners.com/2...o/sc_sf1-1.wmv has a nice shot of my team's bot (95) unloading a bunch of balls rapidly.

And, to be nice and fair, http://www.soap.circuitrunners.com/2...tto/sc_fm2.wmv shows that Team 11's alliance shows that they learned that they couldn't let us do that sort of thing.

These videos look great, now i want to see even more.

This shows 254 (and 488 ;) ) in the quarter final at PNW. This was a fantastic match full of great plays. Watch particularly for the pick by 1887; simply one of the most amazing plays I've ever seen in FIRST.

MIDWEST REGIONAL HAD A FEW GOOD TEAMS

Look to the very last match in the finals, where Wildstang & Co. completely shut down The Beast, for what had to be one of the best defensive plays of the year.

Watching 254 (and the Triplets, for that matter), I'm kind of disappointed that our bot didn't get to play against any of these bots, since they have the same basic design and capabilities. Did 254 (or their twin) play against one of the Triplets? Or do I need to watch the championship webcast?

Your going to have to watch the championship webcast to get a chance of seeing that.

Here are videos of the three crazy Lone Star Regional finals matches. 231 recorded them, so they focus on their robot, but they still give an idea of the chaos that occurred in the finals.
Match 1: http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...gional&pl=true
Match 2: http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...gional&pl=true
Match 3: http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...gional&pl=true

For a different angle, here is the link to the videos NASA broadcasted: http://robotics.nasa.gov/events/webcasts/lsr_2006.php

If you want to see a great last second (after last second actually) ramp score, watch the SPAM robot at the end of qualifying match 52 at the South Carolina regional. Link

I say Match 37 of FLR was amazing. 1126, 229, 340 vs 1713, 1930, 1585.
The result was a "wall of shooters" with a final score of 109 to 41. Hopefully Ellery has posted that match on google. I'll try to find it and update this post.

Team 704 and allies manage to shut down 118's winning streak and then get all 3 bots on the ramp for the first time at the Lone Star Regional, final score 50-6.

The winning alliance at the Granite State Regional can be seen in this video of the first semifinals round. This video features the autonomous mode of the robot of Team 1519, Mechanical Mayhem, but the great defense of BERT (Team 133) and Kaizen Blitz (Team 1276) is also evident. The red alliance ended up winning this match 62-16.

While not featured in the video, the omni-drive of Team 40 can be readily observed.

PS: This footage is from a week one event. There have been some significant updates to the capabilities of at least the Team 40 and Team 1519 robots since then.

great match #99 on Curie, 79 and 1114 are the ones with the most to lose because before the match they were #1 and #2 respectively....i think it was final match for both teams on the field (not 100% on that, but pretty sure)

http://soap.circuitrunners.com/2006/...ie/cur_099.wmv

It was especially impressive for me because this was the first match I had ever watched 1114 play.

These are two matches from philly, the first one is when moe(365) was on the ramp and we shove them aside like nothing.

http://soap.circuitrunners.com/2006/...y/pa_sf2m2.wmv

And the one is the last match, we went and pinned chuck(84) in the corner so that they were unable to dump.

Yeah, need to goto Championship.
Watch Newton SF 2 (any of the 3 action packed matches) to see Newton #2 Alliance 987, 1503, and 1718 face off against Newton #3 Alliance 25, 968, and 195.

Edit:
Also, 1114 has all their matches from WMR on their website

So, if you're a die-hard Triplet fan like me, you can watch 1114 and 1503 tear up the finals ;)

I saved all of the 340 footage from FLR on my laptop. I uploaded Match 37 to Google Video, seen here . The footage actually misses the initial herd of balls going in. What a great match.

This match was amazing. Being a co-driver on 340, I remember talking out every second of the match, and what we were going to do, with 229 and 1126. We couldn't believe that we actually all made it down to the ramp, with little or no resistance. I remember waiting at the bottom of the ramp, waiting for the green light to turn on, signaling our offensive period. And as soon as it turned on, WHAM! I couldn't see the circle anymore, due to all the balls going in! More balls came out then went in due to all the balls trying to go in. It was truly an amazing experience.

Here is a link to match number 2 of the finals of the wisconsin regional. The match seems rather uneventful until the very end, when there is a ringer in the way of 537 getting on the rack. Our driver is able to sweep it away and climb the ramp at the VERY last second. Check it out, it gives me chills.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ydGq45HHCuM
This same situation also happened in the first match of the finals, it was our own fault cuz we dropped it there in the first place, but it was still an amazing last second tube pick up and ramp climb.

With ~3 seconds left, 125 goes from mid field to the bottom of 69's ramp. Momentum carries the bot up. Amazing.

166 scoring 5 of the 7 tubes with the robot, and one with the human player.

Keep your eye open for the "Wicked Awesome Move" at the very end.</plug>

We've also got 573 coming close to tipping over, 141 helping them back up.

And WOW! That last second ramp climb of 125! I have never seen anything like it!
