135 and 1018 wern't the perfect auto-shooters at Buckeye, but the way they had played I knew they would eventually be able to tweak and fix their systems.

1834 was a very consistent blocker in auto, and they were strong enough to push most robots.

At the Davis Regional, Team 955 did a great job with their low goal scoring in the autonomous phase. They would consistantly score 9-10 balls at a time, which was very surprising considering the amount of defensive bots at the competition. Also, they did a great job overall, especially in the final matches of the regoinal. They put up a great opposition.

395 consistently made 10 points in the lower goal at Pittsburgh. They have a great reliable bot.

175 (Buzz) had a great auto-mode at chesapeake. They were able to shoot or hit the corner goals. 393 also could hit 10 for 10 in the corner goals at pittsburg. My team (1629) has over 100 auto-modes (if u want to find out how visit www.team1629.com and click on the auto switch tab on the page). We can hit 10/10 dumping or 5/7 shooting (as long as we dont get hit and then we only shoot 4 and make about 3). We also have some tricks up our sleves to make us very unpredictable in auto-mode  .

Re: Autonomous All-Stars

teams 703 and 469 ( both being in the finals with us at the detroit regional) had great autonomous routines, although 703 got some bad luck in final round 1. Team 818 had a great autonomous at the detroit regional but because of programming errors and more prepared opponents, our autonomous was not that good in Palmetto. The one thing we were bummed about was that when our team was on Live with Lucas the field and Lights were not on, but were turned on for the other teams.

Good Luck!

I would have to say(sorry about the partiality) that in the playoffs at Finger Lakes the best auto mode would have to be...229 going out and setting the pick for 1126 consistantly with us making 8-10. Unless of course we had a crimp undone :yikes:

Re: Autonomous All-Stars

At New Jersey, the obvious pick was 25. It was an early regional and most teams hadn't figured out the bugs in the camera code yet, but they were right on.

At Palmetto, the big names were 95, SPAM (no longer know their number...), and 16. (Although, I'm sure I've forgotten many.)

On the other hand, there are countless excellent defenders who win autonomous by robbing other teams of points or defending their own scorers (1251 comes to mind) and don't get the credit.

Side question: Has anyone else seen this at another regional?

My alliance was against you for that one. I was a driver and my team was right under the goal. Let's just say it wasn't easy to endure :(

nice job on getting picked by them :D

P.S. we lost to wildstang in the first round in chicago too, it's like they're out to get us...

Thanks. You guys had a great robot, and Wildstang is incredible. It was a lot of fun playing against you guys :) .

team 40 is awesome to watch in autonomous and if they dont get blocked they will get 9 balls in without breakin a sweat they have an insane autonomous that is unpredictable with all the modes they have

Re: Autonomous All-Stars

Buzz (175) could hit the high goal or dump very well in autonomous. 1038 impressed me at Pittsburgh with their shooting autonomous. 393 was a very consistent auto dumper.

Re: Autonomous All-Stars

118 the Robonauts could hit 10/10 easily,
when pushed moderately in auto mode they could still get 8/10,

when hit by 418 in the last finals match, spinning around 180 degrees, the could not find the goal ! What a crazy turn of events in the final round of Lone Star! Worst ending ever !

Question:
Has anyone seen any robots that have autonomous code to recover from a defensive autonomous move?

Also, on the topic of autonomous, don't forget to vote on / post on my thread "What does your camera do?"

Can't wait to see what happens with autonomous in Atlanta...

Re: Autonomous All-Stars

Well, at great lakes our autonomous mode was sweet. It showed everyone in the audiance how fast our Twister (commonly known as holonomic) Drive can spin. We didnt have the camera working for a while, so we just set it to spin cycle pretty much.

Now though, We aim for the center goal, and if a robot hits us so we can't make it in time, the robot tries to correct and wont shoot until its sure it will make them.
