Optimus mini three keyboard

Remember a while ago someone posted about a keyboard with OLED screen on every key so each of them can be customized for everyone's needs? The company that came up with that idea finally make a step toward making that keyboard come true, a small step anyway...

Check this out. The Optimus mini three keyboard: http://www.artlebedev.com/portfolio/optimus-mini/

What do you think?

Looks like a great implementation of an idea but doesn't really have any practical application, not to mention it's price... I definable think a keyboard with that technology would be awesome, assuming it is offered at an affordable price. I'm sure this "mini" version will have its niche audience, but it is not practical for the mainstream...what can three buttons really give you? Also, who wants to move their hands to three places...from the keyboard to the mouse is already enough for me.

That rotating orb thing kinda looks like the Debian logo.

I would love to use this on 3dsm and put move rotate and scale as the three buttons but honestly for that much $ I will scroll bar over and click them myself.

This product is pretty cool, but worthless for stuff I do on the computer. I'm more interested in this product of theirs.

The keyboard mini might be optimal for a kiosk or public computer type application. 3 buttons just doesn't seem like enough, although the thing is really coooool. I really like that keyboard tho, and I would buy one but I'm sure that it will be out of my price range
It's amazing what can be done with OLEDs

Oh no... its plenty.

Who's ever gone wrong with a picture-assisted Ctrl-Alt-Del combo pad?

I found that a while ago, and would rather have the whole keyboard.

But, for now since the regulation size keyboard is still in development, I'll have to settle with these.

Any idea how much the full keyboard is going to cost?
I laughed at the Quake keyboard, because I still play Quake III: Arena...

They say that when the full size keyboard comes out, it'll be about $150. I think the full size keyboard will be out just in time for Duke Nukem: Forever ;)

the keyboard would be great if you could edit your own images for the keybd.

Pity, it's $120 for only 3 keys AND only USB 1.0 compliant.
