Dave Lavery at RadioShack
 

Walked into a Radio Shack today, and what is playing on their video wall, an interview with Dave Lavery. He is talking about the Mars Rovers, mentions FRC, and they show footage from a 2005 event. A couple of great shots of a few teams are shown.

I saw this as well. Went to radio shack and my dad said "Hey look, your buddy is on TV." I stopped and watch for a while. Last year I went to a radioshack in Oklahoma and saw some video of the Vex bots from Atlanta and talking about the Vex Challenge. I was pretty stunned, because I was working on starting an FRC team in this town, and there was FIRST in the Georgia Dome right in the local radioshack.

So Radioshack is backing down, and IFI is picking up the ball, which is very good. But this was an excellent way to help get the FIRST name out to many people looking at electronics.

Its kinda off topic, but i guess I'll mention it here.

I did saw the radio shack thing, when i was at radio shack last time. But i see Dave Lavery more often at the Dulles International Airport, as i work there. Also as he is the mentor of one of our neighboring team (116), our members sometimes easily spot him at the public places.
