Mm..Good Morning America brings good memories. Older team members and mentors still tell me about the story of what happened in 2000, when we were featured on GMA after winning the Championships...the story..well I can't tell per se..but maybe if you stop me at nationals .. ;)

Indeeed it was. The GMA date is officially May 6th. For that reason alone, I expect to see AS MANY FIRSTers there in their shirts screaming for us in Times Square!!!

Hey, so this means I'll finally be able to watch the Pi-oneers when I'm neither playing against them or exhausted! Awesome! (y'all had better come back to Palmetto. ;))

Judging from the list of teams, it might just be enough to get me out of bed early the first Saturday of my summer vacation. (And tell me that a FIRST field in the middle of Times Square wouldn't be a photo op for the ages.)

We were thinking of hanging out with all the diehard FIRST'er and staying awake the whole night until assembly time.

I sure am pushing for it, we had a great time. All the stuff I wrote about it being the nicest venue I've been in, I really meant it.

Oh, I am planning to record the broadcast, or at the least get an "official" copy from the station after the fact, so maybe you can still sleep late...:)

... the field will be setup either in their studio or on the street of Time Square right outside the ABC Studio.

Plans are not 100% until the Regional Director returns from Atlanta.

I Dunno What ABC Has. They Were Gonna Let Us Know Whether They Wanted Us To Set Up In The Studio Or In Time Square. So I Guess They Still Will. As Far As I Know, All The NY TV News Stations All Use Time Square To Do TV Things And What Not.

My team (1139) was among the teams on Good Morning America. I wasn't there because i don't like early mornings.

I think we are also going to be featured in the AJC newspaper.

Did the stuff get on? I checked my recording of Saturday's show and didn't see anything on FIRST.
