Carolyn's obviously never been to Milford, DE (my grandparents live there). ;) They don't even have a movie theater. And it's the third largest city in Delaware. Got to love the eastern shore.

Tom Fairchild 25-07-2001 09:47

Milford, well, yeah Milford is pretty dull. I'm lucky enough to have grandparents that live in Rehoboth Beach, DE and that's a different story. As for where I live, despite what Carolyn says about my stomping grounds, my friends always manage to scrounge up something to do. Creativity (and low standards!) are a big help.

Luckily Milford is just a quick trip from Rehobeth Beach. ;) In fact, I have tentative plans to go see my grandparents in a bit over a week and go to Rehobeth at least one day. :)

the town where i live is pathetic...which is why i spend as little time there as possible. of course i can take the t into boston so thats cool

EddieMcD 25-07-2001 15:18

Hmm... bowling alley. Haven't been there in a while. But usually if I do something like that, it's more competitive than social.

Tom Fairchild 25-07-2001 16:21

Matt - you're going to Rehoboth soon?? I'm going to be there Aug. 17th through 20th. Tell me how everything this. I haven't been there in years!

~Tom~

Carolyn Duncan 25-07-2001 22:14

There's plenty to do in "P-town" if you like to laugh at people. J/K. At least Poquoson is close to something. You know where I lived, there ain't nothin' there. Things are so boring there that people actually camped out a Chick-fil-A when it frist opened. How sad is that? Williamsburg's I dea of the beach is a sand trap next to a water hazard on one of the city's four golf courses. And hangin' out in front of W/D comparing red-neck mobiles. I could really go on for pages about the lame-o things people do due to boredom.

Yeah, I'm going to be there Aug 3-5 or so (we're staying with friends of the family in Milford). I get an extended Team Forum vacation. ;) I was last there, let me think, in April. We snuck out from my grandparent's 60th wedding anniversary party. Rehobeth hasn't changed all that amazingly much over the past 10 years or so except for the fact that it attracts many homosexuals now. Doesn't bother me personally but I know others who would have a problem with it. And just make sure to have some Grotto Pizza while there. :)

Matt

Tom Fairchild 26-07-2001 10:59

Grotto pizza??? Grotto pizza??? Nicola's, all the way man. ;)

~Tom~, who's going to knock it off because all the other people in this forum must be totally confused.

Here's the secret... You can be competitive but be joking about it. It works, trust me. THat's what I do everytime I go somewhere like that. That is unless I go shoot pool, I just run the table...

EddieMcD 27-07-2001 13:18

Eh, pool's too easy. I'd do the same thing. Bowling alley might work though. Now all I need is a way to get out there...

Anymore helpful hints from anybody?

Got any siblings? Bribery works great, so I've been told, I have no siblings so I don't really know.

woah...all the same? ma's by far the best, mostly cuz boston is wicked awesome

Carolyn Duncan 27-07-2001 15:46

Boston is def. great. I got to go there once and would love to go again, I was only there for a day.

mike o'leary 27-07-2001 15:52

youre so right...and its got the best local music scene/not-so-local music scene cuz tons of awesome bands are from boston...the mighty mighty bosstones, the get up kids, staind (well, springfield ma, but close enough). and theres free concerts all the time with, and with actual bands like fenix tx and harvey danger.

I've never really been anywhere in New England before..so I can't really disagree or agree..but..I'm sort of lucky to live in S Florida b/c we have a lot of local bands that are pretty good (none of which I could name off the top of my head) as well as I live right between Miami and Orlando, the sort of music capitals for boy bands and good latin jazz (not saying I can stand the boy bands..but the jazz is great down in Palm Beach)..not that anyone cares..lol

~Angela who has no idea why she just wrote all that

Problem was that the stage and the surrounding area was packed when Aerosmith gave a free concert.

Matt Ryan 27-07-2001 16:37

BTW, Mike, did you use the new public toilet? Did you waste that $0.25 it costs?

mike o'leary 27-07-2001 19:45

at aerosmiths free concert? i didnt go to that one.
and even if i had, if i had had to relieve myself i wouldntve payed $0.25 to do it.

When I went to see the Sox game the other night, I read what it said on the door, and I quote: "You have 25 minutes to do your business. After 20 minutes, the door will automatically open"...and the door opens right onto Faneuil Hall, etc.

Blackjack, and it means that you have gone over the limit (and goal) of 21.

mike o'leary 27-07-2001 22:17

i thought so, i was just putting the poker part in to cover myself

Talking about covering yourself...if you ever use that new public toilet, don't be in there for more than twenty minutes.

mike o'leary 28-07-2001 14:03

thanks...ill have to remember that.
on the other hand i doubt ill ever spend $0.25 to go the bathroom

EddieMcD 28-07-2001 18:17

That's what the big tree is for. :D

mike o'leary 28-07-2001 19:34

this really cracks me up. I've been places where you get 10 minutes before the toilet flushes and the door swings open. I have one question though. Why would you spend 20 minutes in a public restroom? Talk about a disgusting place to be...
My bust is like saying my bad. People I know started using it because my bad started sounding really stupid. And because we are all avid card players it seemed to fit.

EddieMcD 29-07-2001 18:51

Go figure.

The public restroom is actually SUPER clean.

EddieMcD 30-07-2001 13:14

I don't know Jess. From what I hear, it is possible to make love in a restroom, so they kinda are on topic.

Eddie, you shouldn't repeat things you don't know to be personally true. You're the one that brought this up so I thought I'd just remind you.

EddieMcD 31-07-2001 14:55

Brought what up?

Carolyn Duncan 31-07-2001 21:08

Romantic involvement issues.

EddieMcD 31-07-2001 21:45

Touche Carolyn, touche.

mike o'leary 31-07-2001 21:46

Hey bowling RULES!!! I'm hoping to get good enough to earn some scholarship money!! so far I've carried a 156, but hope to get it to at least a 180. N-E other good bowler's out there?

Flair - The one whose dad works at a bowling alley and he gets free bowling!!

EddieMcD 11-08-2001 12:04

A little late on the reply Flair, aren't you?

Carolyn Duncan 11-08-2001 13:06

At least he's bringing stuff up to talk about. The forum has been slow lately.

EddieMcD 11-08-2001 18:01

True.

Actually, all he made us do was post useless replies to boost our post counts.

:D

Carolyn Duncan 12-08-2001 00:04

I don't post to bost my post count. I post to keep my self entertained until the season starts, then I can try to help people...hehehe
*laughs at the thought of helping people with such complicated things as robot building.*

EddieMcD 12-08-2001 18:42

That's prettymuch what I do too.

Carolyn Duncan 15-08-2001 00:21

Big meanie. :p

Carolyn Duncan 16-08-2001 16:49

Quiet you before I take your lunch money and give you a swirly.

EddieMcD 16-08-2001 16:59

Wouldn't work. I may be short, but I'm tough as hell.

Carolyn Duncan 16-08-2001 17:01

You'd be suprised at how much I can do adn take in order to do what I set my mind to. I do not like to lose.

EddieMcD 16-08-2001 17:16

Join the club. So, you want to work together for once?

Carolyn Duncan 16-08-2001 17:19

I'm sure that can be arranged. But I must warn you , I pick on everybody at some point in time. The only people I don't really pick on are people I can't stand, and I'm down right mean to them.

EddieMcD 16-08-2001 17:28

Hehe. Well, you've picked on me before, so I know you can stand me.

Carolyn Duncan 16-08-2001 17:43

You catch on quickly.

EddieMcD 17-08-2001 16:11

And you're just noticing this now?

Carolyn Duncan 18-08-2001 00:09

Nah, just mentioning it now.

EddieMcD 18-08-2001 10:50

Good.

Uh, I forgot what I was going to say.
