Did he just say that?
During his speech presenting the 2006 Woody Flowers Award this afternoon, I heard Dr. William Murphy say this:
"FIRST was created to give you, the students, an opportunity to interfere with the engineering profession in a constructive way." Maybe Dr. Murphy intended to say "interact" or "interface". But on further reflection, I think he may have been speaking figuratively -- we geeks know that constructive interference (think waves reflecting off the edges of a tank) is a good thing. |
Re: Did he just say that?
Yes, that is what I heard too. And I think he may have meant what he said. ;)

Re: Did he just say that?
I would agree - the engineering profession is by no means perfect
some constructive interfering? I like it! |
