Archimedes vs. Curie
Newton vs. Galileo I think Newton will probably win, but I'm cheering for Curie! |

Re: EINSTEIN
Newton'll take it I think... but I haven't watched the competition any (been busy) so I don't know who well the teams are playing. But, underdogs can pull it together because they feel they have their backs against the wall and come out playing ferociously.

I think
Newton- 25, 968, 195 Vs. Galileo- 177, 1126, 201 Archimedes- 296, 217, 522 Vs. Curie- 503, 451, 1139 |
Re: EINSTEIN
when is einstein starting?
|
Re: EINSTEIN
They're supposed to start at 4
|
Re: EINSTEIN
i think newton vs galileo will be interesting, wither one can take it :)

So how about that light changing color joke? I was about to have a heart attack....

Have they done jokes like that before? |
Re: EINSTEIN
Wow, that was an interesting joke about the red and blue colors. Who else fell for it for a second?
|
Re: EINSTEIN
Dean's shirt doesn't look like denim.
|
Re: EINSTEIN
i totally fell for it... but it would have been pretty interesting... i totally think the twelve teams would have been able to pull it off
|
Re: EINSTEIN
I just googled first...and purple rhinoceros LOL
Wow... Amazing. Go FIRST and go GOOGLE |
Re: EINSTEIN
Wonder if FIRST can lag Google Server's with everyone searching at once.
Edit: Hummm what is Google giving next year?? |

Re: EINSTEIN
First of all, I totally fell for it. But then, I wondered if they would do it next year. I started a thread thinking about that, because he said it was totally possible... and I think those twelve teams could do it, but some teams had trouble finding green vs. white so I don't know.
Next, I also googled first and purple rhinocerous =P Finally, personally, I'm rooting on Newton. 25 is our mentors and an amazing team and having won two regionals I would like to see it happen. It'll be an amazing set of matches though, I have no doubt about that! Can't wait to see it play out to the end! |
Re: EINSTEIN
Man, I thought Newton would blow everyone out of the water, but what a match! 99 to 81! (Still, in the course of one period Newton really closed the gap, I still think they could win)

Re: EINSTEIN
I stick by what I said... I want to see Newton win...
Alas, I think an Achimedes vs. Newton final would be amazing to watch! Then again, I underestimated Galileo so I guess Galileo vs. Achimedes would be amazing too! :D [[ I'm having so much fun watching this online, I can only imagine what it's like to be there, but it's something I look forward and aspire to getting to do! ((my team went last year before I was a member)) ]] And about the rookies, it really is amazing how many are getting so far, doing so well, and winning so many awards! I can only imagine what kind of rookies we'll have next year! |

wow, what a win for Newton. That was pure power. They didn't even try to score during auto, then turned around and put 106 on the board. Amazing...
|
Re: EINSTEIN
Wow, I'm really interested to see which team will win SF 2-3! I predict that the winner between Galileo and Newton will be the alliance to win the entire championship
|
Re: EINSTEIN
I wanna know what happened to 968's auto!!!! :ahh: :ahh:

I'm with sciencenerd.... can't wait to see sf2-3

217 vs 25 (no offense any of the other outstandinly powerful teams), a match-up I have wanted to see sense 217 won Detroit. This could be quite amazing, the best 2 human loaded-only bots. |

Awsome comeback wins by the Newton champs. Did they lose autonomous twice on purpose?

NASA TV has dropped the coverage, it's now web only. Interestingly enough they just talked about how they're live on NASA TV.
Finally Archimedes vs Newton. I say Newton will take it in 2 straight matches. |
Re: EINSTEIN
Did anyone get that top 10 down? It was amusing...
Especially that last one with Dean and Woodie on Rushmore... HERE WE GO! GO NEWTON! |

Where's Dave Lavery?

EDIT: does anyone else think that it's interesting that the last four years (and for a fifth year, now) the championship winners have been either Archimedes or Newton? Kind of an odd coincidence. |

That was some crazy defense. I have butterflies watching the second match

guess its gonna take all three rounds for Newton to pull it off... seems that they work better under pressure... they let their opponents feel comfortable knowing they have one win and then they strike...
|
Re: EINSTEIN
Well not just defence, it was some precise offence matched with amazing defence. That was an amazing move by 296+217+522. I just soo want a canadian team to lift the Einstein title. I have a feeling this match might just do the trick. I think 25 might just go for atuonomus this time around.

Re: EINSTEIN
Ah, no elimination rounds are complete without the macarena (sp?)! :)

wow, 118 is bad at the macarena :p ;)

We were about half a second away from a match 3, 195 almost got on that ramp.

Re: EINSTEIN
Wow Einstein was amazing and the quality of the bots was inspiring as well. However one of best moment of nationals was when 296 threw a chain off there shooter and couldn't fix it because no one had a master link on there championship alliance so the alliance they were playing against 25,195 and 968 gave them one and the show went on. 296 ends up winning. To add to this at the end Paul from 217 congratulated his team and alliance and then immediately ran over to thank the opposing alliance and to give them a word of encouragement, as 217 lost last year in the finals on Einstein so they have been there before. Random things like that are much better then watching any robot or robot alliance in my opinion. GO FIRST!

Re: EINSTEIN
I dont know. I think our alliance still could have been the best. We won the first match against 25's alliance. Then we lost the 2nd two matches because our shooter wasnt working. We average as a team, team 1126, 55 points a match. And the score of the 2nd match only came down to 30 points and we didn't score at all. But whatever, its all good. We have won 2 divisional championships at Nationals in two years. I am very proud.
