ABC SEARCHES FOR DYNAMIC FAMILIES THAT PARTICIPATE IN LEGO COMPETITIONS

Wife Swap is beginning its 3rd Season on ABC and the premise of Wife Swap is that one parent from each household swaps places for a week to experience how another family lives. It is an incredible family experience and opportunity to both learn and teach different family values.

Wife Swap is a fascinating story of what happens when two married couples see themselves and their spouses in a whole new light. The New York Post says, "It should be called 'Life Swap' because it's not just the wives who learn something here. It's the families."

All families featured on the show receive a $20,000 honorarium. If you
refer a family that is selected you receive $1,000.

Potential families can live anywhere in the United States, but we ask that families applying for the show consist of two parents and have at least one child, age 5 or older, living at home. To submit for the show please call 212-404-2442, or email a family photo and description to:
rachelle.mendez@rdfusa.com

More information is available at: http://abc.go.com/primetime/wifeswap

The show will probably pair the FLL family with a totally non-technical, non-inspiring, non-motivating family. :ahh:

I'd like to see them swap for a wife of a GDC member... now that'd be funny television.

My baby sister was on wife swap.
It wasn't exactly our family's proudest moment.

I wouldn't think any family would enjoy seeing another part of the family do that kind of reality tv.

My sister said it was $50,000 and they embellished alot of it to make it more "dramatic". All I know was my sister came across as very lazy and unkind to my nephew (who loves FIRST. He wants to be an X-Cat but since he lives in Atlanta and that's a heck of a long commute for meetings I told him he probably should strive to be the next best thing- a Circutrunner).

I got an email for the same thing for Vex instead of for FLL:

The ABC’s “Wife Swap” casting department has been searching for dynamic families all over the country for the third season of our hit documentary-style television series! They are currently looking for families interested in either collecting, building or competing with ROBOTS! This means the ENTIRE family must have a strong interest, not just Mom or Dad, but Mom, Dad and the kiddies too! We haven’t featured a technology-savvy family and would love the opportunity to feature a family that has the ability to teach and share their lifestyle with another family. Potential families can live anywhere in the continental United States, but we do ask that families who apply consist of a two parent household with children over the age of six and under the age of eighteen living at home.

The premise of “Wife Swap” is that one parent from each household swaps places for seven to ten days to experience how another family runs their lives. It is an incredible family experience and opportunity to both learn and teach different family values. It provides couples the opportunity to see themselves, their spouses, and their children in a whole new light.

Families featured on the show will receive a $20,000 honorarium. ONLY PARENTS of interested families should email Info@VexRobotics.com.
My kids are too old anyway.

Raul

They are going to be disappointed unless they don't plan to film until next year (or get some one who qualified for Atlanta) most FLL tournaments happen in December/January it seems like this would be tough to get every thing worked out by then.

There's little "reality" left in the show by the time the editors get through with it.

Koko couldn't do anything to prevent his sister's participation. He doesn't have a trademark on the "Ed" family name.

Is this something FIRST really wants their name associated with? I'm sure ABC cameramen would be escorted away from the competition arena, and FIRST would file for an injunction against using any of their registered names or trademarks.

What's next? An invite to appear on Springer? Now there's some dynamic families for ya!

Hehe, I'd love to see the Lavery's on this. Since they typically look for opposites, I would crack up to see some non-technology woman walk into the house and see Dave in a Hawaiian shirt tinkering with some Mars rover model...
