big thanx to MOE

i wanna personally, for my team, thank MOE for making this year awesome for the team and myself. i fell in the MOE bandwagon at pittsburgh and could not wait for the championships to see yall..not to mention be in the same division. we tried using the 'we like to party' dance at BMR, but they never played it until everyone was leaving for awards (bummer i know). oh, and it was completely awesome everytime they played the song to join with yall doing the dance. and...THANK YOU SO MUCH for picking us for the 3rd alliance in galileo. we really didn't think we'd get into the galileo elimination (since 3-4 isn't exactly a great record and we were 42 or something), so thanx for giving us a crack for the finals. yall have a great robot and it never ceased to amaze me everytime you were on the field. hope to see yall again, work with yall again, and cheer and dance with yall again sometime.

Thanks to 1038 and 291 For making great Alliance Partners. The QF matches defiantly showed the potential of our alliance. 1038 (floor loader, perimeter shooter) was a good fit for our bot (prefer to human load and RampCamp). 291 played some tremendous D, and herded plenty of balls to keep them away from opponents and dump them.

We lost some tough matches in the SF to to the eventual Division Winners. Our team has lost in SF to the eventual winning alliance at every competition this year. Ironically, we picked a representative from each regional alliance that beat us (1038 form Pitt and 291 from Philly) and lost again to 177 (who also beat us in Philly paired with 291). Congrats to 177, 1126, and 201 for winning the division and nearly the semis on Einstein.

We had a tons of fun competing with you guys and both in our Championship Alliance and at the regionals. We were probably the loudest cheering alliance in Galileo and that is what is really important :D . Imagine the cheers if we had actually won the division :ahh:

I don't want to take this thread to far off track, but I just wanted to say that 1038 was our number two pick. You have an awesome machine.

We were preparing to select you but unfortunately, all 3 teams above us did excellent scouting homework.

Good Luck in the off-season!

Thank goodness for tough qualifying matches, Al. Without those high qualifying points, you would have been picking ahead of us! Great to see Miss Daisy finish high as usual. In fact, half of the top eight teams on Galileo came out of the Philadelphia Regional -- always a great tune-up for the Championship.

For folks who wonder why a team like 1038, who finished 46th in the standings, was so high on the scouting lists, look at their average qualifying points -- 42.571. This is the 6th highest average on the Galileo field. That means they lost many very tough high scoring matches. 1038 showed quick and accurate scoring capability with their robot, and you can often find gems buried in the rankings. This year they were one of them.

We had two excellent partners in the Thunderhawks and CIA. Both brought great robots and a lot of spirit to the the alliance. We were honored to compete with them.
