Post After-Party sickness?
for any1 who was at the after party on saturday:
are you or anyone else on your team feeling sick? there is something going around on my team as was wondering if anybody else has caught anything. I am not saying there is anything wrong with the food that was there, i just want to try to rule it out as a possibility. symptoms range anywhere from stuffy nose, to fever, diareah(sp) and vomiting/not being able to hold anything down thanks |

I ate a hotdog, burger and brownie all from the first line... I feel fine

I have been sick since Thursday, but I did eat at the party and it didn't make me feel any worse.

Both our team and CIA, 291, went through table #4, with no apparent problems yet. Most actual food poisoning takes awhile to kick in; like 2 or 3 days. But we've been fine so far.

I ate a hamburger and some of the brownies, and during the fireworks got severly sick and missed some of the show from the port-a-potties. I've been fine since then, but the food was definetly not the best.

The food was cheap and underwhelming but I didn't get sick from it. Just sick of it.

2004 VCU Nora Virus part 2?
*everyone blamed that on the team social food at first* |
Re: URGENT, PLEASE READ IF YOU WENT TO THE AFTER PARTY FOR NATIONALS
I had a salad, hot dog, and brownies and I have been feeling like trash. It was definitely not the food from the party - this was my own doing. Between a combined 20 hours of sleep for the whole weekend (12 a.m. Thursday through 12 p.m. Sunday) and lots and lots of yelling, screaming, laughing, and cheering, I think it is safe to say that I did myself in.

If there was a food poisoning there,
My team and I are lucky that we didnt go there in first place. -Josh |
Re: URGENT, PLEASE READ IF YOU WENT TO THE AFTER PARTY FOR NATIONALS
These are the symptoms of a flu that has been going around since March. It takes a couple days of not being to hold anything down (vomit-wise). I don't know anything about diarrhea in relation to it.
It's like any other flu - stress makes it worse. Rest, drink OJ, etc. However, let me warn you of something right now. Coupled with any infections like bronchitis and pneumonia, being sick with this is very rough. I got it at the same time as recovering from bronchitis, and because of the stress of being sick with both, my system went haywire. Yes, it's intense. No, it's not food poisoning (probably). Take care of yourselves. |
