Shooting Ping Pong Balls

What would be the best way to shoot ping pong balls. To be exact they are 40mm (1.57.. in) diameter tournament regulation balls from Wally-World if that helps at all. What would be the best gearing? I wanna make the robot that I designed at the beginning of this season but was later scrapped. BTW... it an almost exact replica of Wildstang's bot but with swerve drive.

Thanks a bunch,

Jeremiah

I would refer to:

and
http://www.chiefdelphi.com/media/photos/23942

These are good pictures of shooters. It looks like the 8 tooth gear to 84 tooth gear to another pair of 8 and 84 tooth gear. For the wieght of the balls it should be fine, but if you want to shoot heavier balls you may need more powerful motors.
Any questions PM me
