...you have a very long conversation about the name ThunderChickens and where it came from with your family.

Apparently my mother's from the area and has heard the phrase before. Google tells me it's a robotics team and a band, so that was little help.

It's also the name of the squadron in the Marines I think that started in Vietnam flying the Chinook. They wanted to call themselves the "Thunder Eagles" but there isn't a Vietnamese word for 'eagle.' They now fly the V-22 Osprey.

Also, when you go to check what the post of your team's number was.

When you make a list of ideas to get your family to drive two hours out of their way on vacation... so that you can drop by IRI. (It's the plan, let's hope it works.)
